Great Tap Dance clip from “Family Guy”
Some of you out there may have seen this recent clip of Stewie dancing with Gene Kelly on an episode of “Family Guy”. The original clip was in the film Achors Aweigh (1945)….the song is called “The Worry Song”, and Gene Kelly danced with Jerry Mouse. The gang at Family Guy did some excellent work superimposing Stewie on top for the “Family Guy” version.
Here are both clips, side by side, where you can see how they superimposed Stewie over Jerry Mouse.

That’s so cute and so hilarious. I think I like the original better, though. Normally I don’t like the Family Guy because some of the stuff they put on there I don’t approve of, but I really like this clip. Reminds me of all the other spoofs out there like when that soap opera did 16 going on 17 from the Sound of Music.
I’m gonna have to check out that movie, anchors aweigh, now just so I can hear what jerry mouse’s voice sounds like.

Yeah, I’ll go for anything that is clean, family friendly, and that doesn’t go against my beliefs. Definitely like this video. Very cute and it doesn’t ruin the integrety of the original.
That was a great video. I’ve never seen the family guy before although I did recognize them from the Emmy’s when they were singing and dancing all over the place. I think this year the Emmy’s were trying to emulate the Tony’s a little too much!

We must have both been watching the same rerun of “Family Guy” last week when they ran this and both had the same idea.
I posted this exact same clip to my blog yesterday and scheduled it to post this morning at 10am! Freaky! Huh?
