I just noticed that Michael Ball is currently playing Edna Turnblad (Traci’s mother) in the West End Hairspray production. You can see him here…

Michael Ball has been playing Edna (brilliantly) since Oct ‘07. He was awarded the 2008 Best Actor In A Musical Olivier Award in March. The show is fab go see it but if you want to see Michael don’t go on Mondays. Since starting the radio 2 Sunday morning show Monday is his day off.
